May 2025 Time Event Details
Friday 2 11am First Friday Outing to Brimham Rocks. For the First Friday Outing this month we are visiting Brimham Rocks for a walk around and picnic.
Sunday 4 10.30am Stuarts walk is at Tadcaster, parking &meeting in car park near the bus station ready for a 10.30 start. Optional lunch afterwards
Monday 5 11am May day VE celebrations week 🎊 Get together to celebrate in Valley Gardens, bring a picnic, have a short stroll to Harlow, ice cream.. Meet 11am near cafe in Valley Gardens.
Wednesday 14 3pm onwards Garden Ideas and afternoon tea from 3pm in Meanwood. Come and share/swap gardening thoughts/ideas/plants/seeds/books/ tools or anything else you fancy. Hopefully in garden, weather permitting.
Thursday 15 10.30am Third Thursday Coffee/Brunch/Lunch at Wetherspoons in Knaresborough from 10.30am.
Friday 16 2pm The Harrogate Book Group We will be discussing the book 'The Four Winds' by Kristin Hannah.
Tuesday 20 2pm The Central Leeds Bar Afternoon will be held at the Scribbling Mill (Wetherspoons). The Scribbling Mill is at White Rose Centre, Dewsbury Road, Leeds LS11 8LU which has free parking and a good bus service.
Tuesday 20 7pm Leeds Book Group at the Harewood Arms discussing Speaking Volumes by Edith Newman Devlin.
Thursday 22 10.30am Coffee Morning at The Tiled Hall Cafe, Leeds Art Gallery Meet Peter at the Tiled Hall cafe for drinks and cakes and chat. If the cafe is closed as sometimes happens we will be in Browns at the corner of Cookridge St and The Headroom.
Tuesday 27 May 6pm Meal at Bukhara Indian Restaurant North Leeds. Great food but not licensed so please feel free to bring your own wine/beer
Thursday 29 10.30am. A walk around the parks and green spaces of Yeadon. This will end on the high street with a short visit to the town hall and then to the Wetherspoons next to Morrisons for food and drink for those who wish. The meeting point will be just inside the pedestrian entrance of the Tarn park about 100 yards down Cemetery Road from the Albert pub on the corner of the High Street.
Thursday 29 1.30pm IVC Committee Meeting to be held at The Lord Darcy, Leeds. The meeting will start at 1.30pm but some of the committee members may take lunch at the pub beforehand and members would be very welcome at both events.
Friday 30 11am Leeds City Centre Walk Rachel and Rosemary invite you to take a fresh look at the city centre where old meets new. Its history, its people, its buildings.
Saturday 31 7.30pm Harrogate Theatre Production of Alan Ayckbourn's 'Just Between Ourselves'
